Monday Tidbits...

Last week was pretty uneventful.  But that's okay!  We appreciate uneventful weeks, as they give us a chance to breath.

Monday Tidbits

Everyday there are thoughts floating through my head, thoughts that are as easily lost as they are found.  As I am changing my son's diaper, there are at least five or six blog worthy "thinklings" that never quite make their way to this here little blog of mine.  There are those wise words I want to share with my daughter about obstacles she may encounter on her sure to be winding road to womanhood, the little nuggets of wisdom I'd like to share with my sons and just general life moments that are thought of and then, POOF!  Lost forever to the abyss of lost thoughts.

Daddy's Favorite Cookies

Although I have been baking these cookies at least three or four years, I have never actually posted the recipe or even written it down.  I do want to share these with you all because they are that good.  I will not take all the credit for these wondrously delicious cookies, as they are a mish-mosh of sorts, a perfected finale of past failures in the kitchen.  Ladies and gentlemen, without further adieu, I present to you...

A Few Things

Finally, I am (almost but not really) all caught up on life!  Summer is coming to an end and I finally got some "spring" cleaning done, I've tackled a few things that were clogging up my "to do" list, and I am feeling pretty good, physically-post pregnancy and all.

Ezra Smiles

I Just got a call from my husband who is at our dentist's office with our two older children and baby. He is dying laughing--dying! He managed, between fits of laughter, to tell me why. If you have ever met Ezra, you know that he is one very happy baby. It's the first thing most people notice about him, how happy he is. As soon as he sets eyes on you, he smiles. If you talk to him he smiles, if you smile at him he smiles. Seriously, he is really THAT happy--it doesn't take much.

For A Very Special Guy

If you know my husband, you know that he is "eclectic." A man who cares not what people think of him; he picks his nose in public when it itches and farts in crowded (and very quiet) movie theaters. I will admit I was often frustrated with him the first five or so years of marriage. But then I woke up, took the stick out of my butt, and lived a little (a lot).
