Soccer Cleats or Ballet Slippers?

Well, today was the day!  The long-awaited, much anticipated day finally came and we could not be happier!  Grandma was with us and super excited, it was truly a family affair.

It all started at 6:11 am when my son hovered over me in bed asking if it was time to get dressed and go see the baby.  Leave it to my son to wake me up four minutes before my alarm is set to go off.  Breakfast took longer than usual since the kids could not stop yapping about whether it was going to be a boy or a girl, how big he or she would be, and schooling mommy and daddy on why it's not safe for the baby to sleep on the top bunk of the bunk bed (what bunk bed?).  Geesh, we're only going to an ultrasound, I can't imagine what they'll be talking about when it's time to deliver!

On to the exciting news, IT'S A BOY!  Daddy is so excited as are mommy and big brother.  Big sister was a little upset that she would not be able to share her room and immediately requested a little sister.  But within a matter of seconds she was over it.  Clutching her very own ultrasound picture of her baby brother, she beamed a smile that told me everything would be fine.

I remember at 14 weeks, when I first felt the baby kick, my mom asked if it was a soccer kick or a ballet kick.  I thought that was hilarious, but now we know!

Anyway, I'm signing off now because I have a lot to do!  Gotta finalize the registry, think of a theme for the baby shower, and daydream about my little angel.  Gosh, I can hardly wait!

xoxo
