Merry Christmas!

By now you're probably settled in all warm and cozy, full from the day's feast if you had one.  Or maybe just simply full of blessings, thanking God for all you have been through--the good and the bad but still managed to make it to the end of the year.  A new beginning?  Maybe that's a bit much to think about right now.
Maybe we can just settle into the now, the present, the everything that is upon us at this moment.  The kids still relishing in their newfound treasures,  Baby E tossing and turning to get cozy in mama's womb, mama and daddy satisfied with the blessings God has once again been so gracious to provide (the bigger home, the newer and safer car, health, clean food and water, etc.).   Even those things we receive every day but may not always make our daily list of thanks, like laughter and good friends.  Good, good friends who will tell you the truth no matter what it may be.  Those friends who, despite not agreeing with your every belief, still manage to love and cherish the meat of who you are.

So as I contemplate one more helping of Sock It To Me Cake and kick back on mom's couch, let this serve as a great big THANK YOU to all of my family and friends who have been pillars, providers, supporters of all that I am--the "meat" of me.  It is much appreciated, I love you and Merry Christmas!

Isaiah 9:6

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
